YELLOWSTONE
& NORTHWEST WYOMING |
|
|
Allow at least three days
for this circle tour of Grand Teton & Yellowstone National Parks,
and northwest Wyoming. This loops starts in Jackson, Wyoming but
could start as well from West Yellowstone, Montana. Begin in
Jackson with it's western image, upscale shops, plentiful nightlife, and
shoot-outs in Town Square. Drive in the high country with
spectacular mountain views, passing through Grand Teton and Yellowstone
National Parks on the way to another western town, Cody. Cody
features one of the best western museums and the popular
Cody Nite Rodeo. On the
way enjoy spectacular scenery, hot springs, and high mountain
passes. Wildlife is abundant, especially in early summer and
fall. Look for moose, elk, bison, bighorn sheep, bear, deer, and
pronghorn. Wolves are shy, therefore more difficult to see.
Ask the Yellowstone Park Rangers for the best viewing areas. |
